Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, there is a group of 24 to 40 players who play pre-arranged matches at various venues around Sunnyvale.  Most of the matches are at Sylvan Park, but Mango Park, Cooper Park, Whisman Park and others are also occasionally used, as well as private courts.    

Many of these players are members of the Sunnyvale Tennis Club and play on Sunnyvale teams in various USTA leagues.  But no memberships are required to participate in these weekday morning sessions. 

Players range from weak 2.5 to strong 3.5; most of the players are retired, but players of all ages are welcome. About 10% of the players are women...we'd like to increase that percentage. The vast majority of the matches are doubles, but singles can sometimes be arranged if desired.    

The pre-arranged matches begin at 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM and sometimes 8:30 AM if there is sufficient demand.  There is no cost to participate.  Some players come every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning while others come only once a week or only occasionally.
