After winning 5 out of 6 matches at the April Districts in Fresno, Linda Chen’s Senior team had to wait 2 full
weeks because of a rainout before finishing their journey toward Sectionals. They WON their final match and
secured a place in the May Playoffs in Walnut Creek.

Luck was not with them this time around. They lost three matches to the Saratoga team and were all heartbroken
at that point knowing that their chance of advancing to the Nationals was very slim. Two of those matches
were lost in super tie-breaks and none of those sets was won by more than two games. These matches were
THAT close. Even though they went on to win two more matches in the remaining two days, they didn’t make it to
the Nationals, but their spirits were high because they had come SO close.
